LP Field Concessions

The Harpeth Band of Blue will be working concessions for events at LP field for the 2011 season.  We did this in 2009 and were very successful.

Anyone who plans to work the frontlines of our concession stand or any portables we may be assigned must be TIPS trained.  We will have workers who are not TIPS-trained working the events, but they cannot "run a register". A minimum of 8 TIPS trained people are required for each event. 

All classes will be held at LP Field and will last a minimum of three hours.  Due to the cost of training materials, there will be a $20.00 per person charge, which will be deducted from your next commission check.  All attendees must be at least 21 years old.  Upon successful completion, the TIPS certification will be valid for a period of 3 years. This $20.00 will be initially charged to your account and removed after you work one event.

Check-in for these training sessions will be at the employee gate located on the east side of the stadium next to Gate 1.  Parking will be available in Lot C across the street from the employee entrance.  To ensure participation in the desired class, you must arrive 10-15 minutes before class is scheduled to start.

Following are the dates for which TIPS training sessions will be available:

• Tuesday, May 17th - 6:00 p.m.
• Tuesday, May 24th - 6:00 p.m.
• Wednesday, June 1st - 6:00 p.m.
• Tuesday, June 21 - 6:00 p.m.
• Tuesday, June 28th - 6:00 p.m.

We need as many people as possible to attend these classes, and the sooner the better.  Our first event will be in the middle of June.  We do not have to go to the class as a group; you can go to whichever class fits your schedule.  Just please let Darenda Shannon know as soon as possible that you at interested, and at least 2 days in advance of your desired class so that she can get you registered.

We have the potential to earn quite a bit for the Band for working our required events, but need more parents committed to training.   Keep in mind, we need a certain amount of TIPS trained folks to work each event to satisfy their requirements.
