TN Div II State Finals Results
It was a cold night but the Harpeth Band of Blue's color guard basked in the warmth of their achievements! Number one in preliminaries at state competition! AT MID STATE MARCHING INVITATIONAL AT AUSTIN PEAY UNIVERSITY...
Saturday, October 27th, the Harpeth High School Band of Blue, eighty members strong, participated in the Mid State Marching Invitational held at Austin Peay University in Clarksville. The Harpeth Band of Blue finished 2nd in their class (behind a 5-A Kentucky High School), during the preliminary performance and was selected for finals competition. During the finals competition the Harpeth band finished fifth overall. The percussion section finished 1st overall for both preliminaries and finals!
"We have definitely turned a corner over the last few weeks,” said Director Dan McNally, “Our state competition is next Saturday, November 3rd, and I believe we will be in a great position to be successful." The state competition will be held at Independence High School in Thompson’s Station TN.
