Announces 2nd Annual Best of South Cheatham Dog Show
This is Not Westminster! It is a Fun, Family Event that Combines all Things Canine.

 

The Harpeth Band of Blue is proud  to host the 2nd Annual Best of South Cheatham dog show event in Pegram Park on May 21st. The event also supports the Cheatham County Animal Shelter and the Cheatham County Animal Awareness Foundation. All participants and spectators are asked to donate a good brand dog food the day of the event. The donation is not required however to participate. Family friendly dogs from the  local shelter will also be at the event and  will be available for adoption at the show.

 

Dog Show Details

 

The cost to enter is $10 per pet per category. In the first category based on size, pets will be judged by for traits such as: overall health, personality, good behavior, training as well as a wildcard Judge’s favorite.

  1. Miniature (up to 22 lbs.)
  2. Small (23 to 44 lbs.)
  3. Medium (45 to 88 lbs.)
  4. Large (89 lbs. and over

Other categories include: The Ugliest Dog that only a Momma can Love, Cutest Dog, Best Trick, Best Costume, Looks Most Like Its Owner, Best Mutt and more.  Prizes are valued at $25 and up will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners as well as ribbons.

 

To pre-register for the show, e-mail your intent to enter form located <here> to shawn.rider@hhsbandofblue.com and include the name of your dog, dog size (see below for categories) and all  the category(s) you will enter. Payment can be made in the form of cash or check the day of the event.  Or, simply register the day of the show from 9 to 10 a.m.

 

There is no charge for spectators. Anyone that loves dogs will enjoy this event located in Pegram Park located on Hwy. 70, a short 30 minutes west of Nashville, TN. or 20 East of Dickson, TN.  Bring a lawn chair and your dog and stay the day. 

 

Pet supplies will be available for purchase, a dog grooming station will be in operation as will cooling stations for the dogs and plenty of fresh water to keep the canines quenched. Numerous helpful grooming and obedience training demonstrations  will occur throughout the competition.  The Band of Blue boosters will be selling hot dogs, chips and cokes throughout the day.
