About the Band of Blue

 

The Harpeth High School Band of Blue music program is an award winning program made up of the finest and most talented young men and women in South Cheatham County. Our own Band of Blue has been State Finalists every year for the last fourteen years, where our accolades include:

• Two State Championships
• Eight Percussion State Championships
• Four Colorguard State Championships
• Field Commander State Championship
• Soloist State Championship
• Tennessee Division II Hall of Fame for Band, Percussion, and Color Guard

Additionally, our own Band of Blue Winter Indoor Drumline program placed 4th in the World competition in 2010 and has consistently placed in the top rankings each year at multiple competitions.

The band program is not limited to the award winning marching band and drumline; this public school program provides music education to over one hundred students annually in the forms of jazz band, indoor percussion, concert band, honor band, pep band, as well as our up and coming musicians from the Band of Blue program at Harpeth Middle School. Students are consistently successful in solo and ensemble, mid-state, and all-state performances bringing home excellent and superior ratings.

The Band of Blue music programs have enjoyed much success in recent years due to the hard work and dedication of the staff, students, and parents. We are proud of the performance, musicianship, and high levels of academic accomplishment that the musician's have achieved. The member's hard work and dedication reflect the strong support for the school parents, and generous supporters.
